About Janet Bosshart

Janet Bosshart, a Christian singer from Champlin, MN, has just released two CDs "Down To Earth" and "Servant Of God". The first contains ten inspirational love songs. "Either someone has a broken heart or they are still with their loved one," Janet comments on her choice of songs. "Servant Of God" is a divine collection of some of the best contemporary Gospel around today, containing tracks such as "Spirit Blowing', 'Holy Is Your Name' and 'The Holy City'. "I am most grateful for the many blessings the Lord has given me and for the chance to spread His Gospel and Teaching through the blessing of song," the singer says.
Born in a small town in Wisconsin, Janet lived there until she graduated from high school.  She moved to St.Paul, and while living there, she had several clerical jobs.  She married and had four children.  The second child died in open heart surgery at the age of two months.  A job change for her husband necessitated a move to Champlin, Minnesota.  This opened up a new career area for Janet.  She attended a local community college, got her AA Degree and graduated with honors.  This led to a position with a large school district in the area, and Janet is now on her 20th year in the Special Education Department."

Janet has a voice similar to Julie Andrews, Crystal Gale and Barbara Streisand, and it wasn't too long before she got her first break. "I saw an ad in the newspaper that read: 'Singers and song writers come to Nashville.' I answered the ad and got to sing on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in a contest." Janet was asked to come back and record two demo songs at the Kitty Wells' Studio in Nashville. This led to a love song album with his company. "I was introduced to Eric Straton of Galaxy Entertainment and recorded a religious album with his company. I also sang two songs for Eric that were in a movie called 'Christmas 44'."

Since then, Janet has done several videos through Affinity Music/Don Reed and recently recorded a ten song country album "DownTo Earth". All of the songs were written by Bob Dellaposta in Nashville. She has also done a radio show with one guest and a video show with two guests. In March 2002, Janet recorded two demo songs which were sent to MR. MUSIC in Sweden. She has sung at Billy Bob's in Forth Worth, Texas and at Gilley's at The New Frontier in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"I see myself as an accomplished singer with great potential," Janet says. Indeed, she's got a fantastic voice, and many people say that she sounds like an angel. "I would love to have one of the songs I sang put in a movie," she says. "A dream of mine has been to find a place in the music world. If the right people heard my music, I know they would appreciate it."

Janet has hired the professional marketing company of Olympic Advantage to market her music internationally.
